Carmen Electra will be the main speaker at the Humanitarian League's "Toasting the Stars" black-tie gala Nov. 3.
"She's a very charming person. When I met her, I could sense she really wants to give back and help," said Jan Malley, Humanitarian League founder.
She said Electra, who grew up in Sharonville as Tara Leigh Patrick, has waived her speaking fee.
Former Bengals kicker Doug Pelfrey has been named the league's "Humanitarian of the Year," and a comedian from the Funnybone comedy club will "roast and toast" him at the gala.
Proceeds will benefit the Family Nurturing Center, the YMCA Equine Center for the Disabled and the Kenton County Animal Shelter, and will help award {CONTENT},000 college scholarships to humanitarian high school seniors.
The gala will start at 7 p.m. at Drees Pavilion in Devou Park. Tickets are per person; 0 for a table of eight.
