Carmen jumps through hoops to take centre stage in New York

Carmen Electra pulled off the rather spectacular feat of stealing the limelight at a New York fashion week that has been chock full of celebrities. The Scary Movie actress sashayed down the runway, performing a sizzling show girl-style dance at the presentation of lingerie brand 2(x)ist.
Wearing a corset and fishnet stockings, Carmen gyrated under the lights with a hoop, before ending the sensual routine by leaping into splits. If the audience was in raptures over her acrobatics that's because she's had plenty of practice.
Carmen was once part of The Pussycat Dolls, a burlesque dance troupe which went on to enjoy chart success. Meanwhile, her contribution to the market in celebrity fitness DVDs was a workout with a difference, combining aerobic exercises with striptease moves.
While the curvaceous beauty was busy entertaining fashionistas, her fellow screen stars Kate Bosworth and Julianne Moore also doing their bit to support the fashion industry.
The Superman Returns actress, elegant in red, chatted animatedly to her movie colleague in the front row at Calvin Klein, later declaring: "I love the clothes - very classic, very simple. That's what I tend to like." Pictures at Hello Magazine
